AMANDA LUND, PHD
Oregon Health & Science University, Co-Chair, Session 3

Amanda Lund received her PhD in Biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY. She continued her training with Dr. Melody Swartz, PhD. at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale de Lausanne, where she explored the contribution of tumor-associated lymphatic vessels to anti-tumor immunity. Dr. Lund became an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cell, Developmental, & Cancer Biology and member of the Knight Cancer Institute at Oregon Health & Science University in 2014. The Lund Lab explores the dynamics of immune interaction with and regulation by the cutaneous lymphatic vasculature. Her work demonstrates that lymphatic vessels are both necessary for immune activation following peripheral challenge and simultaneously activate mechanisms of adaptive resistance that mediate return to homeostasis and tumor immune escape.
